Established in 2001, Roland-Dowell is a specialist boutique financial services recruitment firm based in the City of London.  With our extensive network of contacts & introducers we find and introduce individuals for Private Client Advisers, Wealth Managers, Private Banks, Family Offices and Investment Management firms.  We work in close partnership with our clients to ensure that we are a trusted strategic partner for all their recruitment needs.


We concentrate primarily on the mid-senior level within the £50-250,000 salary range.

Simon began his recruitment career with Hays in 1994 and after 7 years of recruiting for City clients established Roland Dowell in 2001.  He focuses on finding and introducing individuals up to and including Board level for a large number of Banks, Investment Managers and Family Offices.

Matthew Tatnell PR pictureMatthew Tatnell

Matthew started with Hays in 1996 and developed desks in London and Dublin before joining Roland Dowell as a Director in 2002.  He has since been instrumental in developing key relationships with several major clients in the Private Banking, Private Client and Wealth Management arenas and works closely as a strategic partner to these clients.  

Matthew holds a BSc and an MSc in Geology.

He joined Roland Dowell as a Director focusing on introducing mid-senior level individuals for Private Banks, Investment Managers, and Private Client Wealth Managers.  Gareth also has extensive experience of business acquisition.

How we work

 

Working with Candidates

We always start with a face-to-face meeting.  Only then can we really understand what it is you are looking for in your next move.  Following this, we will then agree on a shortlist of companies to approach and arrange initial meetings.  We do not approach any client without the express permission of the candidate.

Once interviews are arranged we will provide full feedback and if necessary arrange further meetings until the process concludes.  If required, we will also negotiate any offers on your behalf. 

Working with Clients

With any new client we will always take the time to meet personally in order to fully understand the requirements within the brief.  The search process can include networking via existing contacts, referrals and recommendations, direct headhunts and database selection. The extent to which one particular method is used over another depends on the client, the market and the brief.

We will then forward a shortlist of selected, qualified candidate details and arrange interviews as necessary.  We always maintain contact with both the client and the candidate until the entire process is concluded.
